E-liquids: A Brief Overview

E-liquids,also known as "vape juice", are the flavored liquids that go in e-cigarettes. E-cigarettes, or "vapes", are seen as a somewhat healthier alternative to smoking tobacco cigarettes. There has been some backlash and controversy regarding e-liquids and vaping, so this article will explain what exactly e-liquids are and why some choose them.

E-liquids are generally made up of relatively few ingredients. A sample list of ingredients would include: Vegetable glycerin, Propylene glycol, water, flavorings, and, optionally, nicotine. There are brands with 0 percent nicotine available for those individuals who wish to avoid the risk of addiction. Many people use e-cigarettes to replace nicotine-containing tobacco cigarettes.

Let's take a look at each ingredient and its purpose in the e-juice solution. Propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin are used in varying amounts for the base of the juice, before flavorings and/or nicotine are added. They are used in differing amounts or ratios depending on the desired final result.

Vegetable glycerin has an inherent sweetness, which does not work with some flavor combinations. It's got a higher viscosity, so it may be slightly harder to clean from the vape. Vegetable glycerin will give bigger, rather thicker clouds as well.

Propylene glycol has lower viscosity, which means easier cleaning. It's also flavorless so it serves as a neutral base for any flavors desired.

E-juice manufacturers who use nicotine in their formulas are cautious of the measurements of each ingredient. They must be certain the levels of nicotine delivered are within the correct doses or ranges.

Backlash hit recently because e-liquids and vaping were blamed for numerous cases of death or severe lung issues. E-liquids from reputable sources are carefully manufactured with customer safety in mind. Many of these injuries were from tainted, unregulated e-liquid products which contained harmful materials. For a smart choice choose hangseneliquids.
